For our climate — the heat, the rain, the humidity — you need silicone that can handle movement, aluminium framing that doesn't let heat transfer through, and proper sealing at every joint. Done right, a glazing system on a commercial building can hold up well for 15 to 25 years without major issues.

For most commercial ACP cladding work, 4mm panels are the standard go-to. If it's a taller building or there's a fire rating requirement, we move to fire-resistant core panels — no shortcuts there. For bigger facade areas where wind load matters, we adjust the subframe spacing during fabrication to make sure panels don't flex or bow over time.

Once the design is signed off, here's roughly how it goes — material sourcing and procurement takes about 2 to 3 weeks, subframe fabrication and surface prep another 1 to 2 weeks, then the actual ACP cladding work and glazing on site. For a mid-size commercial building around 5,000 sq.ft of facade, most jobs wrap up within 6 to 10 weeks. Delays usually come from late approvals or site access — not from our end.

Honestly, not much — which is one of the reasons ACP cladding work is so popular for commercial buildings. A basic clean down every now and then, a sealant joint check every 3 to 5 years, and a quick look at the fixings. Good quality panels hold their colour well and don't need constant attention. Just don't ignore the sealants — that's where most problems start if left too long.
